Cool Flowers are annuals that not only survive the cold , but love it. The plants can be planted in autumn or early spring (depending on the region), meaning they can be sown (indoors) as early as August/September or even at the end of winter. Depending on the variety, they are not affected by frost; in fact, the cold hardens them. This enables these "robust annuals" to develop a strong root system and thus to flower much earlier than their later-planted counterparts.
