Cosmos bipinnatus
As far as I'm concerned, no summer is complete without cosmos.
I have a particular soft spot for "Sweet Kisses" – she's both, low-maintenance and has the most striking ruffled flowers.
And with her colour palette of shades ranging from white to dark pink, she looks really lovely in a vase.

Hardiness: Annual plants
Where: Full sun
When: February to April inside, April to May outside.
Spacing: 30cm (12")
Harvesting/Flowering: June till the first frost.
Tip: If you remove wilted blooms, they will flower even more!
