Apple blossoms in winter? And especially large ones?
Even though the "Apple Blossom" variety is of course not an apple variety but an amaryllis, its large, white petals, with the gentle brushstrokes of pink and the lime green center, almost look like apple blossoms.
Just soooo much bigger.
"Apple Blossom" gets us in the mood for spring!
Planting tip:
Only plant the bulb halfway into the potting soil. Water sparingly at first and avoid waterlogging.
Only when the flowers and leaves appear does the plant need more water.
Do not pour water directly onto the bulb, leaves or flowers.
Vase tip:
If you want to cut them for a vase, wrap the stem at the cut point with Tesa tape. Alternatively, you can put the bulb in a vase, but the water should only touch the roots.
