Limonium sinuatum
Beach lilac is undemanding, copes well with dryness and sandy soils. Its delicate pastel shades of purple, pink and cream are simply enchanting.
The perfect flower for the dry bouquet.
Lasts forever in the bed – if it is not too damp, the flowers will already start drying in the flower bed and retain their colour.
It doesn't need much water And snails are not interested in it either.
Height: 50cm (20") to 80cm (32")
Hardiness: Annual, Cool Flower. Can come back if the winter isn't too harsh. Avoid dampness.
Where: Full sun
When: Inside from March, plant out from the end of April. Outside from mid-April. Light germinator – cover only lightly with soil.
Spacing: 30cm (12")
Harvesting/Flowering: June to November
Tip: Cut off the flowers only when they are in full bloom and hang them upside down to dry.
